Who We Are... Hollywood Presbyterian Church is a light in our community in which we faithfully serve.  All are welcome here!  You will find your place in this family of believers.  You will be accepted as you are and will be encouraged to grow in your relationship with Christ.  Hollywood is a friendly church with a blended worship service and special music at each service.  You are encouraged to use your gifts and talents here!   We offer church school for all ages as well as gatherings for Youth, men, women and seniors during the month.  As mission minded Christians, we reach out all through the year with local, regional and international missions in which we can serve others, share our faith and ease the burdens of others.  We invite you to come on in this Sunday and be part of our family. Mission Statement... We the members of Hollywood Presbyterian church are a congregation of people who both trust and obey Jesus Christ. As such, we are the body that carries on His mission today. We accept the challenge of the Great Commission and we intend to serve Jesus Christ, His Church and to share His Gospel.

Church History... The congregation was chartered as a church on May 9, 1943 by Albemarle Presbytery, after serving as a Sunday school for the surrounding community for many years. Dr. Robert Boyd was the organizing pastor coming from First Presbyterian of Greenville, NC. The former building was known as Hollywood school because of the Holly trees outside of the building. It was purchased by the congregation and land was donated by Miss Annie Carroll. Since 1943, 13 different pastors have led the congregation which have been yoked with Chicod Presbyterian Church in 1973. In 1997, many faithful Meadowbrook Presbyterian Church membership rolls were placed with Hollywood.
